Quantitative transmission spectroscopy using specimen support with meshes

System for calculating the concn. of one or more substances in a carrier-fluid, which is dispersed as a film over the meshes of a net, by means of quantitative transmission spectroscopy where light passing completely through and at right angles to a segment of the net, enters a detector. Here the effective volume (V) of the fluid under test is calculated according to the expression V = Q.K1, where Q is the illuminated area of the sample segment and K1 is a constant dependent on parameters of the net.
