<p>The invention relates to a conveyor for conveying granular material from a location near the ground to an elevated position. According to the invention, the conveyor has an intake hooper (17) having a front end (21) secured to an input end of a tube and an endless belt (7) for conveying the material from the intake hooper (17), at least two augers (25 and 27) being mounted to the discharge end of the tube, within the hopper (17), said two augers being positioned above the endless belt (7) and externally to the input end of the tube, said belt (7) and the augers (25 and 27) being driven by some appropriate drive means, the augers (25 and 27), which are actuated in a rotary motion, convey the granular material from the hooper (17) towards the input end of the tube, so as to ensure a complete feed of the input end of the tube, the granular material being then carried to the discharge end of the tube by the belt (7).</p> |
