This variable hand switch has a switch main body (40) composed of a resin molded article in order to have elasticity. The switch main body (40) comprises a base (41), a first push- in region member (42) formed at the front end of the base (41) to bend upward from the base (41) in U-shape, and a first depending wall (43) serving as a movable wall extending from the first push-in region member (42) toward the base (41) side (push-in direction side). An optical cable (30A) is fixedly disposed on one surface side of the first depending wall (43) in opposed relation. This arrangement can provide a variable hand switch having a construction capable of transmitting accurate control to the device main body.
