A sampling device permits consistent volume fluid samples to be extracted from a fluid pipe line at evenly spaced timed intervals. The sampling mechanism of the device in a preferred embodiment comprises a pair of sampli ng valves in series with a sampling line of the device which are operated by a cam mechanism so that only one of the valves is opened at any given time. Openin g of the first valve thus pressurizes the line while opening of the second valve permits the pressurized fluid contained between the valves to be released and collected in a sampling container.
