The method involves immersing totally logs in a hot oil tank (1). The oil tank is homogenously heated, by thermostatic heating units (3) placed in an isolated manner from the logs, up to the total impregnation of the log which is acquired when the oil no longer manifests swirl or bubble. The tank has a prong (2) exerting vertical pressure on the log. The oil is filtered by a filtering system (4). An independent claim is also included for a device for treating green wooden blocks or logs.
