Thymosin alpha 1 peptide polymer conjugates for increasing half life of the peptide in serum

A pharmaceutical composition that has a physiologically active conjugate comprising a Thymosin alpha 1 (TA1) peptide conjugated to a substantially non-antigenic polymer, such as PEG, which increases the half-life of the TA1 peptide in serum of a patient administered with this composition. Also described are methods of forming the composition and the use of this composition in the manufacture of a medicament for a patient in need of immune stimulation.
