The system has a sensor device (3) disposed in an interior zone (1) e.g. rear loading bunker, to measure physical data. User interfaces (11-13) disposed in an interior zone (2) e.g. cockpit, allows a qualified personnel of the cockpit to obtain graphical information. The interfaces have an output unit (12) to deliver the information to a user e.g. pilot, based on the data and a control unit (11) to control the output unit or the device. The physical data comprises of optical data, humidity, temperature or pressure. The information concerning the physical data measured by the sensor device is delivered to the user, in the form of graphical representations of the former interior zone to be monitored and/or in the form of acoustic information such as an alarm signal in case of detection of fire. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method to monitor an interior zone from another interior zone of an aircraft, to detect or observe fire or smoke (B) a computer program for executing an aircraft`s interior zone monitoring method (C) an aircraft comprising a monitoring system.
