MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR TIRE CONDITION MONITORING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a tire condition monitoring device mounting it without damaging a monitoring sensor attached to a part of the rim of a tire wheel. SOLUTION: A fitting part 8 for fitting/attaching the monitoring sensor 5 constituted by a sensor body 6 and a sensor holder 7 is formed on a part of the rim 3 and the monitoring sensor 5 is fitted such that it is not projected from a surface of the rim 3 and is detachably mounted into the fitting part 8 by a fastening member 9 such as a bolt. The fitting part 8 is formed to a fitting recession part 8a fitted with the monitoring sensor 5 and may be a fitting penetration part fitted with the monitoring sensor 5. Namely, length L and width W of the fitting part 8 are the approximately same length L1 and width W1 of the sensor holder 7 of the monitoring sensor 5 and depth H is approximately the same as height h of the sensor holder 7 or is formed slightly deeper than that. When the monitoring sensor 5 is fitted/attached to the fitting part 8, the surface of the monitoring sensor 5 is not projected from the surface of the rim 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
