The invention relates to a device and method for filling a container (7), particularly an open sack, with a powdery product. The inventive device comprises a net scale (1) situated above a tube arrangement and/or hopper arrangement (2), which leads to a filler neck (6) that is situated above the container (7) to be filled while preferably projecting inside this container. The invention utilizes an intermediate chamber (3), which is situated downstream from the net scale and upstream from the container (7) while serving to temporarily hold at least a portion of the product released by the net scale, and utilizes a compacting device (8, 9) for compacting the product placed inside the container (7). |
