<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost thermal transfer receiving sheet, which is suitable for a dye thermal transfer printer, develops no poor running such as folding of paper, jamming of paper in photoprinting and has a photoprinting density equivalent to that obtained when a synthetic paper or a foamed thin sheet is employed. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer receiving sheet, which a lowly dense layer including hollow particles and an image receiving layer on at least one side of a sheet-like support mainly made of a cellulose pulp in the order named, the sheet-like support has a water retention power of at least 210-500% and a base paper includes 1-10 mass% of total raw material of microfilament-like celluloses having its number average filamentous length of not more than 0.2 mm in a raw material pulp slurry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
