<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component developing device where toner on a toner carrier served for development is electrified with high electrifying efficiency while restraining the deterioration of developer, and toner electrifying performance is maintained over a long term. <P>SOLUTION: The one-component developing device has a toner electrifying member 17 arranged in contact with the toner carrier 12 on a more downstream side than a regulating member 15 and on a more upstream side than a developing area D in the surface moving direction of the toner carrier 12, and the toner electrifying member 17 is a high polymer film supported by a fixed electrode 20, and the elastic modulus of the high polymer film is ≤10<SP>10</SP>Pa. The thickness of the high polymer film is about 10 to 200μm, and the hardness thereof is about HB to 6H in pencil hardness. The toner amount on the toner carrier after regulation is about 2 to 20g/m<SP>2</SP>and a potential difference between the fixed electrode and the toner carrier is about 300V to 2kV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
