<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to transfer an image information to an image output apparatus through a serial interface and without occupying a network connected to a host computer. <P>SOLUTION: An image input apparatus has a first port 11 for the serial interface to be connected to a printer apparatus 101, and a second port 12 for the serial interface to be connected to the host computer 102 through the network 105.
