OPTICAL PICKUP AND OPTICAL DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical disk device for easily coping with the difference in NA in an objective lens.

SOLUTION: The optical pickup comprises a laser light source for emitting a laser beam; the objective lens for condensing the laser beam emitted from the laser light source on an optical disk; and an image-forming magnification varying means for changing an image-forming magnification when the laser beam is condensed on the optical disk. By changing the image-forming magnification corresponding to the difference in NA in the objective lens, deterioration in optical coupling efficiency or the like can be prevented.
