DATA OUTPUT SYSTEM AND DATA OUTPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output system which is user-friendly and provides improved security.

SOLUTION: A user of a portable terminal 500 selects output data (4) from among pieces of data in a server and an MFP (multi-function peripheral) for printing out data with the portable terminal 500 (5). The server 400 prepares authentication data and transmits (8) it to the selected MFP 100. The MFP 100 displays (9) the authentication data. The portable terminal 500 acquires the authentication data by photographing (10), and transmits it to the server 400 (11). The server 400 collates the prepared authentication data with data transmitted from the portable terminal (12), and if they are identical, starts transmission of print data corresponding to the authentication data to the MFP 100 (13). Thereby, printing is performed at the MFP 100.
