<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system capable of acquiring information related to other readers excepting a user himself or herself at the time of operating the list display of a document, and to provide a program and a recording medium therefor. <P>SOLUTION: This document management system for preparing a document list for a document group is provided with a read information storing means for storing a browser who has browsed the document, a browsing time, his or her impressions or comments or the like by associating them with the document. When the document contents are displayed, the read information storing means is made to store the document whose browsing has been requested by associating it with the browser and the browsing time. Also, when the browser's impressions or comments are inputted, the read information storing means is made to store them.
