<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the upper body of a person in need of nursing care from shifting and falling from an upper body holding part to a hips holding part because of the gravity when the upper body holding part is raised against the hips holding part to place him/her in a sitting position. <P>SOLUTION: A care bed is equipped with a mattress having the upper part holding part, the hips holding part, and a part for holding below knees in this order, a leg which supports the mattress horizontally at a prescribed height and has an entering space for the part for holding below knees for making the part for holding below knees enter, a stationary pivoting part which turnably supports the upper body holding part and the hips holding part to rotate at a boundary between the upper body holding part and the hips holding part, a movable pivoting part which movably supports the boundary part between the hips holding part and the part for holding below knees and turnably supports the hips holding part and the part for holding below knees, and a driving means which drives the movable and stationary pivoting parts to perform an action of sitting the person in need of nursing care by turning the upper body holding part upward against the horizontal or the reverse action while turning the hips holding part upward against the upper body holding part at a relative angleαwhere the upper body does not slip and move onto the hips holding part and turning the holding part below knees downward against the hips holding part at a relative angleβwhere the part below knees and the holding part below knees enter in the entering space for the holding part below knees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
