<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light emitting or receiving device in which at least one of the angle of elevation or azimuth can be set automatically at a predetermined angle when a light emitting or receiving element is fixed to a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving element 4 having a plurality of leads 8 and 10 extending from the rear surface 4b substantially perpendicularly thereto is fixed to a substrate 2. The lead 8 is inserted into a socket 12 and forward end part of the socket 12 touches the substrate 2 under such a state as the optical axis 6 of the light receiving element 4 makes a predetermined angle against the substrate 2 and a corner of the rear surface 4b is touching the substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
