<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator and PLL circuit which operates stably while preventing oscillation from being disabled by avoiding an overcurrent that considerably exceeds a set frequency, from being supplied to an oscillation circuit of the voltage controlled oscillator. <P>SOLUTION: In a voltage controlled oscillator (6) comprising an oscillation circuit (8) that oscillates in a frequency determined in accordance with an inputted current value, and a control circuit (7) that controls an oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit (8) in accordance with a voltage of an inputted control signal, an upper limit is provided for a current amount of a V/I conversion circuit (7) which converts the control voltage into a current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
