PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction type transmission having excellent responsiveness in increasing and decreasing the rotating speed. SOLUTION: As a friction type transmission mechanism 30 integrated with a scroll type compression mechanism 40, a compressor is attached with a transmission. The transmission includes: a housing 10 having a transmission chamber 10a in the interior; an input shaft 17 and an output shaft 17 supported to rotate round a first axis 01 in the transmission chamber 10a; a planetary rotor 27 provided to revolve round the first axis 01 in the transmission chamber 10a and rotate round a second axis 02 inclined to the first axis 01; and a transmission ring annular to be concentric with the first axis 01 and varying the rotating speed of each planetary rotor 27. Each planetary rotor 27 includes: a passive surface 27c brought into frictional contact with the input shaft 17 through an input rotor 18; an operating surface 27b brought into frictional contact with the output shaft 24 through an output rotor 25; and a transmission surface 27a brought into frictional contact with the transmission ring 26.
