RADIATION IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preferable radiation image even when image data has an image defect. SOLUTION: Image data which is developed based on output signals of a plurality of radiation sensing elements two-dimensionally arranged on an imaging panel 11 is written in an image memory part 20. Image data of longitudinal or transverse plural adjacent lines is read out from the image memory part 20 as a first image data, average data of a data level in a direction orthogonal to a reading-out direction is calculated, and a line-shaped defect in an image is detected by a defect detecting part 24. Defect information to indicate a position of the detected defect in the image is generated and memorized in a defect information memory part 26. Radiation transmitted through a subject is radiated on the imaging panel 11, which is developed as a second image data and written in the image memory part 20, and the image data of the position indicated in the defect information memorized in the defect information memory part 26 is corrected to acquire the preferable radiation image.
