PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that can compresses collected dust, maintains a suction force without a spinning chamber and permits the miniaturization of a dust chamber. SOLUTION: A flow A containing dust sucked into an air inlet 6 passes the filter surface 7a of an inclined filter 7 and is dispersed into a flow H flowing in a first channel 8 and a flow E guided along the filter surface 7a of the inclined filter 7 and flowing in a second channel 12. Dust is guided to a dust cup 13 by a flow flowing in the second channel 12. Furthermore, dust collected by a compression filter 14 is compressed to accumulate. A decrease of the suction force can be reduced by a flow entering the first channel 8, and the suction force necessary for sucking dust is maintained to operate the vacuum cleaner 1. Furthermore, since the suction force can be maintained without providing a large spinning chamber like a conventional one, the dust chamber 5 can be miniaturized and the entire vacuum cleaner 1 can be miniaturized.
