PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication message converter for transferring a message via a communication path with a different communication protocol, relieving a load of message conversion processing, and efficiently transferring the message. SOLUTION: The communication message converter is provided with: a means for receiving a CAN message from a CAN application device 2 via a CAN transmission path 4; a means for storing the CAN message to any of buffer areas; a means for converting a message ID into a message index; a means for generating a FlexRay message on the basis of the CAN message and the message index; and a means for transmitting the FlexRay message to a FlexRay transmission path 5.
