<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera enabling similar operations to be performed at all times, independently of the changes in the relative positional relation, between the user and a display screen and improving the operability. <P>SOLUTION: The digital camera includes a display means whose position is rotatable with respect to a camera casing; a means for detecting the rotation of the display means to thereby decide the direction of the display screen; a multidirectional operating member for operating the screen image displayed on the display means; and a control means for controlling the operating functions of the multidirectional operation member, and when the decision means decides that the direction of the screen has been changed, the control means changes the function assignment of a plurality of operation sections of the multidirectional operation member, depending on the direction of the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
