<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array which has high compatibility with adjacent other members in a liquid crystal display device and can be reduced in thickness, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The microlens array 13 is provided with a plurality of microlenses 131 corresponding to pixels of the liquid crystal display device and is used in the liquid crystal display device. The thickness of the microlens array 13 is ≥2 μm and ≤200 μm and the diameter of individual microlenses 131 is ≥10 μm and ≤600 μm. The difference between the maximum refractive index and the minimum refractive index in the microlenses 131 is ≥0.001 and ≤0.2.
