<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve technology for an engine and a bearing system of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: Effective length L<SB>2</SB>between two bearings 60 and 70 exceeds actual length L to separate unbalance further in a rotary structure such as a gas turbine engine 20. This can be achieved through a bearing supporting body 72 having one or a plurality of tapers related to at least one bearing 70. A meltable link is provided in a force path between the first bearing 60 and a support column hub 32 to specify a predetermined destruction position for unbalance force exceeding a threshold value.
