<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal card which can establish compatibility between direct thermal printing and ribbon printing, which prevents sticking in the direct thermal printing, and which has high anticounterfeit properties. <P>SOLUTION: This ribbon-printable thermal card 1, which is at least partially provided with a thermal color-developing material, is characterized as follows: a part 5 with a releasable component and a part 4 with no releasable component are provided on the side of an outermost surface brought into contact with a thermal head; and these are formed of different types of UV-curing or EB-curing ink or coating agents. Thus, a printing part of the ink, which is transferred by being thermally melted by means of a ribbon, is fixed onto the parts 4 and 5; the direct thermal printing can be performed in an arbitrary place without reference to the presence or absence of the releasable component; and the compatibility between the direct thermal printing and the ribbon printing can be established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
