<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an appropriate operation without being affected by a noise, etc., in a constitution using a liquid crystal element for an optical coupling adjustment means. <P>SOLUTION: At the inside of an optical pickup, a voltage level amplifying circuit is arranged just near an electrode section of a liquid crystal panel for a coupling adjustment. Then, a liquid crystal driving signal is transmitted with a small amplitude AC signal (differential AC signal) by using a signal transmission line of a flexible substrate, etc., from the outside of the optical pickup and amplified by the voltage level amplifying circuit to apply it to the electrode section of the liquid crystal panel. Also, such a structure is fabricated that the voltage level amplifying circuit is mounted on a connector type rigid substrate and joined with the electrode section of the liquid crystal panel for the coupling adjustment by using this connector type rigid substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
