PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which a dispensing station (106) dispenses a large dose of radioactive tracer (104) to one or more positron-emission tomography imaging stations (114), its method and its device.

SOLUTION: In this system, a quality control unit (110) confirms the quality of the radioactive tracer (104). Each component of this system is connected through a local area network (148). In some embodiments of this system, each positron-emission tomography imaging station (114) comprises an injection system (122 or 124), a physiological condition monitoring device (134 or 136), and a positron-emission tomography scanner (138 or 140). Every device can be controlled by a computer system (1,200).
