<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing method of a thermal recording medium and to make the manufacturing cost of this medium inexpensive, by a printing method using a plate. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording medium 1 is manufactured by a process wherein a first water-dispersed ink prepared by dispersing in water a pigment component containing at least an electron-donating compound is printed on a base 2 on the surface of which an ink receiving layer 3 to be impregnated with the first water-dispersed ink, by the printing method using the plate, and by a process subsequent to this process wherein a second water-dispersed ink containing at least either an electron-accepting compound or a thermal sensitivity improving sensitizer or both of them is printed by the above printing method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
