PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generator capable of reducing an X-ray passing through a restriction hole of an aperture. SOLUTION: In an X-ray tube being this X-ray generator, a part of an electron beam B generated from a negative electrode 11 collides with a target 12 by passing through the restriction hole 13 of the aperture 14 and the remainder thereof collides with the aperture 14. The electron beam B expands while the electron beam B passes through the restriction hole 13. Thereby, by forming the aperture 14 so that the inside surface of the restriction hole 13 expands to an angleθ<SB>2</SB>above an angleθ<SB>1</SB>from a surface 21 on the negative electrode 11 side toward a surface 25 on the target 12 side, a part of the electron beam B having expanded by passing through the restriction hole 13 is prevented from colliding with the inside surface of the restriction hole 13.
