LIGHTWEIGHT POROUS BODY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method for manufacturing a lightweight porous body where chaff ashes hardly effectively utilized heretofor are used as a raw material.

SOLUTION: A formed body is obtained by forming a raw material composition where water is added to a solid raw material containing binding materials consisting of one or two kinds among cement and gypsum and containing the chaff ashes and then the porous body is obtained by hardening the formed body. The content of the binding material and the content of the chaff ashes in the solid raw material are desired to be set on 5-95 vol% respectively.
