PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system that has improved visibility and allows distance to left/right turn points to be determined instantly. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises a position detection means for detecting the current position of a vehicle, a map data storage means for storing map data including the position information of an intersection, a route guiding means for guiding a route to a destination from a current position and map data, a distance measuring means for measuring a distance to the intersection for turning right or left from the current position in the route to the destination, and a turn signal operation guiding means for guiding the timing for operating a turn signal operation lever from a distance to the intersection.
