PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hindrance in the payment of a compensation to a commodity and a service by a radio communication between a noncontact IC 10 housed in a portable telephone and a register 11 by the receptions of a telephone and a mail to the portable telephone. SOLUTION: The RF block 4 of the portable telephone detects the receptions of the telephone and the mail from the outside through a communication line. The noncontact IC 10 conducts a payment processing electronically by a radio signal in the compensation to the commodity or the service. A CPU 1 for the portable telephone transfers to a telephone-call processing by an off-hook operation corresponding to the reception, when the receptions from the outside are detected by the RF block 4 when there is no payment processing by the noncontact IC 10. The CPU 1 conducts an automatic reception to the receptions from the outside, and a holding sound is generated and transmitted to the opposite party.
