PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge efficiency and luminance of a plasma-display panel. SOLUTION: This PDP is provided with the upper electrode group including a scan electrode which is formed on the upper substrate and to which a scan voltage is supplied, a barrier rib which is formed on the lower substrate that is opposed to the upper substrate while a discharge space is interposed in between and which demarcates it, an address electrode to which a data voltage is supplied, and which is formed on the lower substrate so that it is positioned under the barrier rib, and an auxiliary electrode which is extended from one side of the address electrode into the scan electrode direction.
