PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high speed printing operation and to obtain a precise output result when print data including a transparent component is inputted. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises an analyzing means 14-3 for analyzing various kinds of objects to be plotted according to image data including a transparent component, a judgment means 14-4 for judging whether or not there is an overlapped part in image-plotting regions of two or more objects analyzed in the above, a dividing means 14-5 for dividing the overlapped part from the non-overlapped part obtained by subtracting the overlapped part from the analyzed objects, a color synthesizing means 14-6 for forming a color synthesizing object obtained by colors of the objects in the overlapped part, and an image forming means 14-8 for forming an output image based on the non-overlapped objects divided by the dividing means 14-5 and the color synthesizing object formed by the color synthesizing means 14-6.
