PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel structure with which an aperture ratio of a liquid crystal panel is heightened and its quality is increased and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A pixel electrode 40 is partly overlapping with two gate lines 10 and two data lines 20, which are arranged on the four sides of the pixel region. An alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal display panel is identical with an alignment direction 90. Thereby, when a voltage is applied to the pixel electrode an electric line of force is generated between the pixel electrode and a common electrode on a CF substrate, and as a result, the alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules is made to match the direction of the electric flux line. Consequently the region in which the alignment direction of the liquid crystal molecules is controllable is extended over the full range of the pixel region to get a larger aperture ratio.
