PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll mill with which a homogeneous paste can be obtained; and to provide a method for kneading a paste. SOLUTION: In the roll mill, a plurality of nearly columnar rolls each rotatable around the center of axis are arranged in parallel, and the roll mill is equipped with a press-feeding means for feeding a previously kneaded paste to a discharge device under pressure and the discharge device capable of discharging the previously kneaded paste to the roll in the form of ribbon. The method for kneading the paste comprises feeding the previously kneaded paste to the roll mill in which the plurality of nearly columnar rolls each rotatable around the center of axis are arranged in parallel, and kneading, and is characterized by feeding the previously kneaded paste to the roll in the form of ribbon.
