PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle control device increasing possibility of escape from seizure of a throttle valve due to icing or foreign matter. SOLUTION: This throttle control device tentatively relaxes limitation of the maximum drive current of a motor drive circuit 4 by a maximum current limiting circuit 48 when any one or more of intake air temperature, temperature of a switching element of a driver 40, water temperature and lubricating oil temperature or the like is low. A countermeasure for overheat of the switching element of the driver 40 is performed because a condition at a time of low temperature is relaxed as compared with a condition at a time of high temperatures. The relaxation is performed by limiting time to prevent overheat of the switching element. Consequently, possibility to releasing seizure of the throttle valve 10 can be increased.
