PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

A pressure sensitive adhesive composition based on (meth)acrylic polymer that while maintaining excellent durability and light leakage prevention, is capable of avoiding any bleeding and is capable of suppressing any staining at removing time and any detachment under harsh conditions. There is provided a pressure sensitive adhesive composition based on (meth)acrylic polymer, comprising at least a (meth)acrylic polymer and a crosslinking agent, characterized in that the (meth)acrylic polymer satisfies all the requirements: (a) >= 80x10<4> weight average molecular weight, (b) content of components of <= 30X10<4> molecular weight being >= 25 mass% based on the total mass of (meth)acrylic polymer, (c) in a molecular weight distribution chart having linearly graduated molecular weight as an axis of abscissas, the gradient of simple linear regression-straight line applied to a molecular weight distribution curve of zone of <= 30X10<4> molecular weight being >= 0, and (d) in the simple linear regression-straight line, the coefficient of determination being >= 0.8.
