LOGIN SYSTEM

A login system which has a high authentication speed with reduced data amount using face authentication. A user terminal (1), a database server (3) and an authentication server (2) are connected through a communication line network (4). Face image data and identification data are acquired, the acquired face image data is subjected to DCT conversion and DCT coefficients are calculated. A DCT code at an address indicative of a DCT amplitude of a specified value or above is determined among the DCT coefficients. A binary one-dimensional template is generated from the DCT code, and a registration template consisting of the binary one-dimensional template and the acquired identification data corresponding to the binary one-dimensional template is generated. Similarly, binary one-dimensional information for authentication is generated, and login is controlled by comparing the binary one-dimensional template with the binary one-dimensional information for authentication.
