<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parts information management system which can efficiently perform order processing of parts in a service company and its method. <P>SOLUTION: A window which displays a drawing data read from a drawing of paper and taken in as GIF data, a parts catalog which indicates information on parts described in the drawing, and a child drawing associated with the drawing data is displayed. A user chooses one part from a parts catalog and brings it to a corresponding position on a drawing by carrying out drag and drop with a mouse pointer. Then, parts information on the parts catalog, the drawing, and the coordinate position on the drawing are made correspondent. By performing this for the required drawing appeared in the drawing, the data having a corresponding relation between the drawing and the parts for creating ordering data generated when ordering parts afterward is acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
