<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor with excellent air-tightness and liquid tightness having a sensor element, an element assembly or the like generating hardly a damage. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor has an angled part 204 having a curvature radius R1 mm between a leading-up part 202 of the sensor element 2 and a base end side tapered part 203, and an angled part 204 having a curvature radius R2 mm between a leading-up part 102 of the housing 10 and a tailing tapered part 103, a powder sealing material 3 is arranged between a sealing face 205 in the sensor element 2 and the base end side tapered part 203, and a sealing face 105 in the housing 10 and the tailing tapered part 103, and relations of R≤-5.0×L1+2.0, 0<L1≤0.25, 0<R1≤1.25, and 0<R2≤1.25 are satisfied, where L1 mm is a distance along a radial direction between the leading-up part 202 and the leading-up part 102, and R mm is larger one out of the R1 mm and the R2 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
