IMAGE READER AND ADJUSTING METHOD FOR IMAGE READER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image reproducibility by optimizing the position where an imaging element is fitted to a condenser lens in an image reader and in an adjusting method for the image reader. SOLUTION: The image reader has: a light converging means 106 of converging light from a document 101; an imaging means 107 of reading image information of the document 101 by receiving the light converged by the light converging means 106; a holding member 109 which holds the light converging means 106; an imaging element fixing member 110 which fixes and supports the imaging means 107; and a fitting and fixation adjusting member 111 which fits and fixes the holding member 109 and the imaging element fixing member 110 so that the imaging means 107 is nearly in parallel to the light converging means 106.
