PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type cylinder block, in which rigidity is improved. SOLUTION: This split type cylinder block is composed of combination of a first block main body 3 comprising an outer wall part (outer walls 32A and 32B) surrounding the outer circumferential surface of a cylinder 1, and a cylinder structure 5 formed as a separate body from the first block main body 3. A bracket E3 of an engine mounting is installed on the outer circumferential side of it through a bolt E1. A screw hole 73 for the bolt E1 is composed of through holes 36 provided in the outer wall part (outer walls 32A and 32B) and a screw hole 72 in a cylinder boss 54 provided in the outer circumferential surface 51F of the cylinder.
