PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior finish structure which is easily constructed by anyone so that uniform finish of an external wall is achieved without variations and with good appearance by anyone, facilitates exchange of exterior finish materials and repair when damaged, and employs a single type of rail even if the exterior finish materials are different in width. SOLUTION: In construction of the exterior finish structure, the rails 2 which each have a mounting plate 3 mountable on a substrate 1, a fitting plate 4 to which the exterior finish material 6 is fitted, and an aperture 9 defined by the mounting plate 3 and the fitting plate 4, and have a long or a short length, are vertically or horizontally mounted on the substrate 1 at predetermined intervals in a manner facing the apertures 9 to each other. The fitting groove 7 of the exterior finish materials 6 in a desired number, each having a fitting groove 7 formed therein, are vertically stacked up or horizontally arranged side by side, by fitting each fitting groove 7 onto the fitting plate 4 of each rail 2. Further support members 8 are arranged at some desired point of each rail 2 or at vertical or/and horizontal terminations of the rail 2, and therefore the exterior finish members 6 fitted to the rails 2 are supported by the support members 8, the distal end of the fitting plate 4 is inclined toward the mounting plate 3 so as to make press contact with an inner wall surface of the fitting groove 7.
