PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an astronomic observation dome which is good in sky visibility, and allows observers to easily understand the relation between an observation object and constellations around the same. SOLUTION: The astronomic dome 10 has a dome section 16 having a shutter 18, and the entire body of the dome section 16 is formed of a transparent member, which improves the visibility of the observers, to thereby allow the observers not only to observe a celestial body which is the observation object by a device set therein, but also to view the constellations around the same. Thus when the astronomic observation dome is applied to educational facilities, it largely contributes to astronomical education. Further in the astronomic dome 10, observation is possible while an opening thereof is closed with a shielding member, and therefore the observation device is protected from influences of unexpected rain and wind.
