PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding spatter deposition preventive agent capable of effectively preventing spatter scattered and deposited on a peripheral part of a welded part when welding a steel member or the like, and friendly to the environment. SOLUTION: Welding spatter deposition preventive agent contains fine powder of inorganic matters or inorganic compounds, and contains liquid mixture consisting of one or more kinds of substances selected among the group consisting of water, dicarboxylic acid, metal hydroxide, triazoles, chelating agent, saturated fatty acid, and unsaturated fatty acid.
