PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for fitting a cylindrical filter to a cylindrical filter system dust collector, each of which can cope with the throughput capacity of the large-sized dust collector while restraining the size of a collector body of the dust collector from being enlarged and the manufacturing cost and equipment maintenance cost from being raised. SOLUTION: The cylindrical filter 2 is constituted so that at least two or more cylindrical filter units 3 are superimposed on each other in series and integrated with one another. In the cylindrical filter 2, a sway preventing guide 9 and a guide 10 for the inside surface of the cylindrical filter unit 3 are both arranged on both of a connector 4 and an upper supporting metal fitting 6. The upper supporting metal fitting 6, the cylindrical filter units 3, the connectors 4 and a lower supporting metal fitting 5 are integrated with one another by a connecting member 13 via an elastic member 12.
