PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the provision of only a required number of switches, achieve good appearance and increase the capacity without sacrificing an accommodating space in a box. SOLUTION: Only as many proximity switches 5 provided on a flexible printed board 4 as required for each grade of the automobile type are mounted on a lid 3 of a console box 1 of an automobile. Accordingly, the number of the switches is only as many as required for the specific grades of the automobile type, thus achieving a good appearance. Moreover, because of using a flexible printed board excellent in bending property, the switches are mountable on something having a hinge portion, such as a lid of a console box, and incorporatable in the console box.
