PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for automatically acquiring and managing information necessary for remotely controlling a terminal when the terminal is newly connected. SOLUTION: In this system where terminals 101, 102 and 103 for transmitting an instruction command by designating the attributes of a terminal or the attributes and attribute values and a control terminal 104 equipped with a control function are connected through a network 100, the control terminal 104 recognizes that the terminal (for example, 101) has been newly connected, and specifies the attributes of the terminal 101 by using an attribute value reading request according to the terminal classification of the connected terminal 101, and specifies the attribute values which can be set through an attribute value writing request for the attributes acquired as the result of an inquiry in order to record and manage only the attributes and attribute values available for the terminal 101.
